Device Management

Every device that connects to SwiftDrop is registered under your organisation. You can view, rename, and remove devices from the dashboard.

Registering a device

Devices register automatically when you:

  1. Install SwiftDrop on the device.
  2. Sign in with your Zashiron account (or enter your org API key).
  3. Open the app — registration happens in the background on first connection.

Viewing registered devices

In Dashboard → Devices you will see:

  • Device name (editable)
  • Platform (Android, Windows, macOS, Linux)
  • Registered date
  • Last seen timestamp

Renaming a device

Rename a device from two places:

  • In the app: Settings → Device Name → type a new name → Save.
  • In the dashboard: Dashboard → Devices → click the edit icon next to the device name.

Removing a device

Click the Remove button next to a device in Dashboard → Devices. The device is immediately locked out — it cannot appear in Nearby or initiate transfers until re-registered.

Use case: If a team member leaves, remove their device immediately to revoke access.

Device limits

If you reach your plan's device limit, new devices cannot register until:

  • You remove an existing device, or
  • You upgrade to a plan with more device slots.
